Congratulations Class of 2008!

Pre-School that is!
Yesterday was Luke's Mother's Day celebration and Pre-School Graduation. It is hard to believe that he is ready for Kindergarten! I listened as Mrs. Jerry talked about the importance of their scripture memorization.. it wasn't just so they could learn different letters of the alphabet. They did it so that they would always have God's word hidden in their hearts. You don't think about your little one facing spiritual warfare but they will come under the enemy's fire. They will have these verses burned in their hearts to help them face their struggles. Even in kindergarten.

Luke sang a duet and recited one of the scripture verses. He had the letter "B". Believeth on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31.

Getting ready to sing with Andrew..

Congratulations Graduate! Luke and his teacher Mrs. Helen

Luke,
I want you to know how proud I am of you. I know that it God has special plans in store for you and I can't wait to see him use you in mighty way. You are so precious to me and I pray that next year when you go to Kindergarten that you will have a smooth transition and that you will keep your love for learning. You have been given a fabulous foundation and I know you will be ready. I am just worried that I won't! You probably don't remember but you and I have been going to school together since you were 18 months old! I don't know what I will do with out you! Everyday you amaze me with the things you say and do. I can't believe that you are reading! I want to leave you with this verse. This was the verse that I choose for you at your baby dedication.

Phillipians 1:9-11
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

I love you Luke!
love, shuggie
